Recreation starts in the Hagerman area with the Thousand Springs Scenic Byway, which flows like a ribbon through the valley and provides access to many recreation amenities in the vicinity.
The byway runs through the town of Hagerman, where people can load up on supplies, and then it’s time to head to Thousand Springs State Park, with five units to explore. You can go hiking, fishing, sight-seeing, kayaking, canoeing and stand up paddle-boarding in the park units while enjoying the many pure-water springs that flow from the Snake River cliffs.
The mighty Snake River is another key recreation amenity in Hagerman, where you can go power boating, fishing, birding, take a tour-boat cruise, or whitewater rafting. Swimming in natural hot springs pools at Miracle Hot Springs, Banbury Hot Springs or the Thousand Springs Resort is another popular activity in the local area.
